The area around the Hofgut Hohenkarpfen with its incredible views over the Donaubergland, the Swabian Alb and –  with distant views, even as far as the Swiss Alps – , is the ideal place for hikers and nature lovers.

The grounds around the hotel also invite our guests to linger. We have quiet spots where you can sit down for a small picnic or simply enjoy the moment in the fresh air.

Hiking trails start partly directly from the hotel Hofgut Hohenkarpfen (Main-Neckar-Rhein-Weg HW3 / Schwäbischer Albverein) to experience nature in all its facets. Hikers experience the highlights of the Donaubergland and the Swabian Alb on various hiking stages along cultural, historical and natural history sites. Circular hiking trails around the Hohenkarpfen enchant with the fascinating landscape.

A very popular hiking route is  stretch of the Donauberglandweg between the two witness mountains Hohenkarpfen and Hohenlupfen. The hiking trail with the coordinates 48° 2′ 28″ N, 8° 43′ 6″ E delights hikers on the route from Hohenkarpfen to the “King of the Baar”, the 976 m high Hohenlupfen, through the magnificent mountain scenery.
